Role Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Full Stack Developer with expertise in TypeScript and Node.js. As a Full Stack Developer, you will be building applications mainly using React, TanStack Start, tRPC, and Nitro or NestJS. You will take ownership of the project end to end, contributing to technical decisions and managing development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

Effective team communication is crucial for delivering new features and keeping others informed of progress and blockers. Additionally, you'll document technical specifications, APIs, and user flows, participate in code reviews, and focus on producing high-quality, reliable code. You will take ownership of assigned features, following them through planning, implementation, testing, and deployment.

Details

  • Full-time collaboration under a services agreement (Contract de Servicii), through an SRL or PFA.
  • 40 hours per week, with mandatory availability from 18:00–22:00 Romanian time to collaborate with our Los Angeles team.
  • Remote role, open to candidates based in Romania.
  • Paid every 2 weeks on Friday. ( Via Paypal or Payoneer )
  • Permanent Role.
  • Monitask is required to track hours worked and calculate payment for each pay period.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain web applications using React, TypeScript, and TanStack Start.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and initiatives throughout the full development lifecycle, tracking progress, coordinating with others, and following through to delivery.
  • Develop and maintain APIs using tRPC and REST.
  • Support application deployment, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Build, maintain, and scale backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
  • Collaborate with other developers to integrate front and back-end systems.
  • Document technical specifications, APIs, UI designs, and database designs.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and best practices.
  • Write and maintain automated tests, participate in code reviews, and troubleshoot issues affecting application reliability, performance, and security.
  • Communicate progress, technical decisions, and blockers clearly.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in complex backend application development with Node.js and TypeScript. Experience with frameworks such as NestJS, Nitro, TanStack Start, Next.js, Express, or comparable frameworks is a strong plus. ( PHP Laravel frameworks are transferable skills )
  • 2+ years of experience developing REST APIs. Experience with tRPC is highly preferred but not required.
  • 3+ years of experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and ORMs.
  • 2+ years of frontend development experience using React and TypeScript, including solid experience developing single-page applications in React or Vue.
  • 1 year of experience working with Linux, plus working knowledge of Docker.
  • 2+ years of experience with Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, or similar CSS frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of automation, including Continuous Integration / Deployment.
  • Experience writing unit, integration, and browser tests.
  • Solid experience with Git workflows, including branching, merging, and tagging.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to work independently, follow assigned work through to delivery, and handle routine deployments and production troubleshooting with support available when needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
